Getting the Pakis to bomb Iran would be an great plot twist. The naive model of the Middle East is Arabs vs Juice, but that ignores the Sunni vs Shia conflict baked into Islam. Infidels must be converted, taxed, or killed. Believing in the wrong version of the Profit makes you an infidel. As a strategy, that works for relatively small desert tribes, but falls down in a globalized world.
