3 With what? Most air defense systems can't handle a target as small as commercially sized drones. While there are large lasers starting to be used for air defense, there aren't enough for every Air Force base or other military bases.
A drone "fighter" would be great, but you still have the problem of arming it with something that will destroy a drone without hurting or killing someone on the ground and that applies to most of the other solutions as well.
