[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Venezuelan migrant is facing three decades in prison after pleading guilty to posing as a 16-year-old student to attend a high school.
Anthony Emmanuel Labrador-Sierra, 24, admitted to using false documents and purchasing a firearm in Toledo, Ohio, on Monday, after he was caught pretending to be a teenager at Perrysburg High School.
Labrador-Sierra, who has been in the US since March 2020, had been a student there since January last year and even played on its junior varsity soccer team with freshmen.
He claimed to be homeless, and under federal law schools are required to accept unhoused students, regardless of documentation.
The migrant was on sports teams while living with a local couple who had previously taken in exchange students.
Anne Krause, whose son played with Labrador-Sierra on the soccer team, said it was 'like a movie' when she found out the 24-year-old was lying.
'It’s just a wild, crazy story,' she told WTOL 11 in May. 'My son said he remembered playing with him. I thought for sure he had to have been mistaken because, you know, it's already a wild story.'
The mother remembered looking at Labrador-Sierra and thinking he 'looked stronger than the other boys.'
'He just looked more built. He looked more like a man,' she told the outlet.
She said the migrant played with students as young as 14, as the school doesn't have a freshman team.
Labrador-Sierra's plot unraveled when a woman contacted the family he was living with on May 14, claiming that he was 24 years old and the father of her child.
She shared several photos, including a driver's license, Social Security card, and pictures of her with Labrador-Sierra, including one of him with a child.
The guardians contacted the school that evening.
The next day, authorities from the school met with him and 'he denied the allegation and asserted that the birth certificate submitted during enrollment - which indicates he is currently 17 years old - was accurate.'
While he maintained he was born in 2007 to secure enrollment at the school, authorities have since provided a license indicating he was born on March 27, 2001.
Further investigation revealed a woman believed to be his mother had shared a birthday message on Facebook on March 27, the date of birth on the original license.
Labrador-Sierra was arrested during a traffic stop in the passenger seat of a car driven by the woman who first raised the alarm about his age, police said.
According to the Department of Justice, Labrador-Sierra entered the United States legally in 2019 on a B1/B2 tourist visa but overstayed.
He has been residing in the US illegally since 2020, authorities said.
Labrador-Sierra is accused of lying about having legal immigration status in order to obtain a firearm, and providing a fake date of birth when he applied for Temporary Protected Status and for work documentation in 2024 and 2025.
He was arrested on May 19 with a handgun, prosecutors said. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials ordered his detention.
Labrador-Sierra now faces up to 30 years in prison. He will be sentenced in late January.

…advancing towards the militant group’s stronghold of Jamaame, residents and local officials said on Wednesday.
Kamsuuma lies about 23 kilometres from Jamaame, close to the Jubba River. Control of the town gives Jubaland government troops a key river crossing and a forward base for operations against Jamaame, which is one of Al-Shabaab’s main hubs for farming and trade in southern Somalia.
Local people reported that militants pulled out of Kamsuuma after hours of gunfire and shelling. Jubbaland officials hailed the capture as a “liberation” and said the operation was aimed at dismantling Al-Shabaab’s supply lines into Jamaame.

Once, I remember, we came upon a man-of-war anchored off the coast. There wasn’t even a shed there, and she was shelling the bush. It appears the French had one of their wars going on thereabouts. Her ensign dropped limp like a rag; the muzzles of the long six-inch guns stuck out all over the low hull; the greasy, slimy swell swung her up lazily and let her down, swaying her thin masts. In the empty immensity of earth, sky, and water, there she was, incomprehensible, firing into a continent. Pop, would go one of the six-inch guns; a small flame would dart and vanish, a little white smoke would disappear, a tiny projectile would give a feeble screech—and nothing happened. Nothing could happen. There was a touch of insanity in the proceeding, a sense of lugubrious drollery in the sight; and it was not dissipated by somebody on board assuring me earnestly there was a camp of natives—he called them enemies!—hidden out of sight somewhere.

[Regnum] Israel launched five airstrikes on Yemen's capital, Sana'a, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in the local government.
"Israeli fighter jets carried out five strikes on various areas of Sana'a and three more on its suburbs," the news agency's source said.
He added that Israeli aircraft continue to remain in the skies over the city.
Oh? What could they possibly be hunting, so very far away from home and supported only by themselves?
Northern Yemen, including the capital, Sana'a, is controlled by the Shiite Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement. Its military spokesman, Yahya Saria, announced on September 15 that the Houthis had attacked Israel's Ramon Airport with drones. On September 13, the Houthis launched a hypersonic ballistic missile attack on Tel Aviv. Earlier that day, the Israeli army reported intercepting the missile outside Israeli airspace.
[Regnum] Two people were killed and 48 wounded as a result of Israeli strikes on the Yemeni capital of Sana'a. The Houthi Health Ministry reported this on September 25.
"According to preliminary reports, two people were killed in the Israeli attack on Sana'a, and another 48 were injured. Civil Defense forces and rescuers are working to find other victims," the department said in a statement.
Israeli airstrikes carried out a series of strikes on Sana'a earlier that day. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz noted that the attacks targeted Houthi targets, including rebel bases and weapons depots. He also claimed that "dozens of militants" were killed in the attack.
The Houthi Defense Ministry stated that Israeli forces attacked civilian targets in densely populated areas of the Yemeni capital. However, journalists from the Saudi Arabian television channel Al Arabiya reported that the dead and injured were located in facilities used by Houthi military units.
Israel launched airstrikes on Sana'a a day after a Houthi-launched drone crashed in the Israeli city of Eilat. According to the Israeli National Ambulance Service, more than 20 people were injured in the incident, two of whom were taken to hospital in serious condition.

One imagines that the 31 were the entirety of the literate population of Sanaa, so of course they were journalists. Probably they all doubled as army clerks, bishops, (or the equivalent), and school headmasters.
[Breitbart] The U.S. National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) revealed that a faction of Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) based in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, was murdering pregnant women to harvest their organs and sell their children to U.S. couples.
The information first came to light earlier this month when Mexican authorities, acting on U.S.-based intelligence, arrested Martha Alicia “La Diabla” Mendez Aguilar, the alleged ringleader of a baby trafficking organization in Ciudad Juarez that is reportedly connected to the Juarez Cartel and CJNG. Earlier this year, the U.S. government labelled CJNG and five other cartels in Mexico as foreign terrorist organizations and called for their eradication.
According to information released this week by the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence, La Diabla’s organization would lure pregnant women in Mexico to perform clandestine C-sections, murder them, harvest their organs, and sell their children to U.S. couples for up to 250,000 pesos ($14,500 USD).
“This is one example of what terrorist cartels will do to diversify their revenue streams and finance operations,” said Joe Kent, NCTC Director, in a prepared statement. “NCTC delivered critical intelligence on ‘La Diabla’s’ location and developed a comprehensive analysis that enabled U.S. and Mexican law enforcement partners to take action.”
In the subsequent investigation, authorities in Juarez found several bodies that belonged to women from low-income families who had been lured by the organization and murdered during the clandestine C-sections. The online news outlet Infobae.com reported that gay couples were the primary customers who used La Diabla’s services.
The Mexican state judicial system has been attempting to keep the case under wraps and has limited the presence of local news outlets during the hearings. According to Mexican journalist Luis Chaparro, the Juarez Cartel is attempting to bribe the state judicial system to release La Diabla as a means of protecting their business.v

I am under the impression that the Italian government wishes to keep them from running amok, whereas Spain wants to protect from whatever Israel might come up with to stop them. But I haven’t paid close attention, and could be wrong.

[GEO.TV] Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti on Thursday criticised the Afghan government for the alleged "state patronage" provided to hard boyz operating from their soil.
At a presser in the federal capital, CM Bugti said that hard boyz easily find training camps and safe havens in Afghanistan.
"They receive state patronage there. Several Khawarij who were recently killed were Afghan citizens," he said.
Bugti urged the Afghan interim government to abide by the Doha agreement, in which they committed to not allowing their soil to be used against any country.
Pakistain has long urged the Afghan government to cut ties with groups responsible for carrying out terror attacks in the country.
At the recently held Inaugural Meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Afghanistan in New York, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar raised concerns over the presence of more than two dozen terrorist groups inside Afghanistan, particularly the TTP, BLA, Majeed Brigade, and ETIM, actively collaborating with al-Qaeda.
Meanwhile,
...back at the mall, Clarissa spent the day shopping for new underwear. Tonight was going to be a special occasion... CM Bugti reiterated his stance that Indian intelligence agencies were funding violence against security forces and civilians in Balochistan.
"I have been saying from day one that it is a RAW ... India's Research and Analysis Wing, Pakistain's equivalent of the Boogie Man... -based and RAW-funded war. India is trying to bring together all the actors working to destabilise Pakistain," he said.
During the presser, the Balochistan chief minister also shared details of a recent operation against hard boyz in Chaghi district, in which two bad boyz were potted while another surrendered.
"Forces cordoned the house and offered the hard boyz to surrender. They began firing, injuring an FC personnel. The forces retaliated, killing two hard boyz while a third surrendered after an intense firefight," he said.

[GEO.TV] To bring permanent peace to the province, Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Thursday that terrorism remains the country's biggest challenge, stressing that Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. In August, the incidents surged by 74% compared to July, according to a report by the Pakistain Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).
Last month, the United States formally designated the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its bully boy faction, the Majeed Brigade, as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation (FTO).
The move also adds the Majeed Brigade as an alias to BLA's previous listing as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) group. The BLA, first designated as an SDGT in 2019, has grabbed credit for multiple attacks since then, including suicide kabooms carried out by the Majeed Brigade.

Witnesses described relentless explosions reverberating across the southern neighbourhoods of the city, which remains home to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians trapped by the offensive.
The strikes mark Israel's latest push to seize control of Gaza City, considered the main urban centre of the enclave. Despite weeks of bombardment, large numbers of civilians remain in the city, many unable or unwilling to flee due to insecurity, hunger, and the destruction of roads and infrastructure.
Among those shut down are al-Rantisi Children's Hospital and the Eye Hospital— the only public eye-care centre.
In a statement, the health ministry said both hospitals located in the Nasr neighbourhood of northern Gaza City were closed after Israeli bombardment nearby.
Al-Quds Hospital is partially operational after its oxygen station was damaged in an attack, leaving it reliant on oxygen cylinders that could run out within days, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) warned.
Other medical facilities—including al-Shifa Hospital, al-Ahli Arab Hospital, and a PRCS field hospital—are still providing limited services.
