1 I could be wrong but I'll hazard a guess that these guys were hoping they could stay in Balochistan. Maybe Balochistan is less of a hell hole than Pakistan.

3 There is no such thing as the Republic of Balochistan as a real functioning govt. There are ethnic baloch in several countries, e.g., Pakistan, Iran.

It is, I think, an aspiration like, Kurdistan. Perhaps justified but not a reality.
