Heavy Israeli bombardment continues in southern Gaza City
[GEO.TV] The Israeli military continued to heavily bombard while its ground forces advanced further into Gaza's densely populated urban core, Al Jazeera reported.
Witnesses described relentless explosions reverberating across the southern neighbourhoods of the city, which remains home to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians trapped by the offensive.
The strikes mark Israel's latest push to seize control of Gaza City, considered the main urban centre of the enclave. Despite weeks of bombardment, large numbers of civilians remain in the city, many unable or unwilling to flee due to insecurity, hunger, and the destruction of roads and infrastructure.
Seven more medical facilities shut down in Gaza amid Israeli aggression
[GEO.TV] Seven hospitals and health facilities were forced out of service in Gaza City as Israel's ground assault and heavy bombardment intensifies, Al Jazeera reported.
Among those shut down are al-Rantisi Children's Hospital and the Eye Hospital— the only public eye-care centre.
In a statement, the health ministry said both hospitals located in the Nasr neighbourhood of northern Gaza City were closed after Israeli bombardment nearby.
Al-Quds Hospital is partially operational after its oxygen station was damaged in an attack, leaving it reliant on oxygen cylinders that could run out within days, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) warned.
Other medical facilities—including al-Shifa Hospital, al-Ahli Arab Hospital, and a PRCS field hospital—are still providing limited services.
Israeli strikes kill 43 in Gaza since dawn
[GEO.TV] The Gaza health ministry said at least 43 Palestinians have been killed since dawn in Israeli military strikes on central and southern Gaza, including children among 11 dead in az-Zawayda after their family home was destroyed, Al Jazeera reported.
