2 The DNI is a notional position, a buffer or media and congressional gatekeeper as it were. Unless something has changed, her position had no authority over CIA budget, hiring, or operations. The Director of the CIA is the main mug for the Nation's intelligence. After a year, I suspect Gabbard realized the job actually amounted to little. Being there for her husband was the more honorable course of action.

How about another trip to Havana Director Ratcliffe? You've very obviously gotten Moscow stirred up over the last one.

Her husband has Cancer.
She chose him over a 24/7 - 80 hr a week constantly back-stabbing political job.

Actual Facts
Mrs. Gabbard's husband, Abraham Williams, has been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. That is why she submitted her resignation from her position as Director of National Intelligence well in advance.

She is doing what any sincerely dedicated spouse does.
They refocus, to care for each other in serious times of need.

But, still she did not DUMP & RUN on Trump or the US Citizens. She is doing a smooth as possible turned until June 30th, which is when her resignation will take effect.

Look at the focus of the topics he writes and are published internationally. It would be safe to say he is no fan of MAGA.
