2 For urban operations and winter the gray camo is appropriate. The fact that it evokes the first Donk initiated civil are is also appropriate.

5 It identifies them as "neutral" and since they still have to live and work there when all this crap comes to an end I don't have a problem with it. As former NG, I suspect the rank & file are disgusted with what is going and hold their civilian and senior military leadership in contempt.

8 @6 Maybe, as long as the MNG doesn't appear to be helping ICE they'll be left alone. If they decide to get violent with the MNG, I doubt they will shows as much restraint as ICE or the police have.

11 Actually, the vests will cover up the US ARMY Name Tape on their uniform, making it clear they are not acting as Army troops, just state employees. Hopefully, some Army JAG has a prepared activation order to federalize thenmen masse, and just have them shed the vests in a simple unit formation and march over them as they join the federal forces in any confrontation. A perfect George Wallace photo-op moment might be forthecoming!

14 @8 all depends on the ROE. I remember guarding areas where we had ZERO ammunition and only the NCOs did... but 5 rounds in a magazine in their ammo pouch for "emergencies". That WILL get MNG members killed.
