The folks I know who have seen it say it's not that bad of a movie - but the plot stinks, and the lead actress' performance isn't terribly inspired and her comments about the audience don't help.
One of these days soon, the studios might get a clue and slap a gag clause on their stars. I ain't holding my breath.

As an investment, the studios are atrocious based on what they could be making on enjoyable product. The fact that there is no correction to their product despite consistent failure speaks to a separate cash flow from a government entity with an off the books budget. In the private sector look how fast Cracker Barrel corrected their bad marketing. Woke Hollywood churns out crappy product year after year.

There are all kinds of ways for people to invade another country. It doesn't necessarily take tanks and warplanes. It doesn't take swords or horse mounted archers. Pregnant women and children can invade another country just as easily if that country lacks the will to defend itself.

[IsraelTimes] The Trump administration is launching an effort to ‘dismantle’ the International Criminal Court over what it calls the threat the court poses to US sovereignty.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discusses the plan in a Wall Street Journal op-ed.
“The US is launching a diplomatic campaign with a simple message — sovereign states over globalism. Those who benefit from American security must not stand idly by while those who provide that security are targeted,” Rubio writes.
“This is only the beginning. Using all the tools at our government’s disposal, working beside every ally with whom we can make common cause, we will dismantle the ICC — brick by brick, if necessary,” he says.
President Donald Trump and other U.S. officials, such as former President George W. Bush, have long said the ICC should not have the authority to investigate and prosecute Americans, particularly members of the US military.
A State Department official, speaking on condition of anonymity, says a wide range of options is under consideration to target the ICC, including travel bans, visa revocations, increased sanctions against the ICC and affiliated organizations, and diplomatic pressure on other nations to withdraw from the ICC, the official says.
The ICC was established in 2002 by the international community to prosecute war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity. It asserts jurisdiction only if a member state is unable or unwilling to prosecute atrocities itself. The United States has never been a member of the court, nor has Israel.
Trump’s hostility toward the court goes back to his first term. It manifested again with a plan to punish ICC officials, an idea hatched in November 2024 when Trump was re-elected and the ICC indicted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes in Gaza.

[Rudaw] Iraqi authorities confiscated 375 kilograms of gold on Monday amid a sweeping anti-corruption crackdown, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) announced. The seizure included 358 kilograms recovered in coordination with the Kurdistan Region.
"The investigative judge of the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court clarified that 358 kilograms of gold were recovered in coordination with the Kurdistan Region," the Supreme Judicial Council announced, adding that an "additional 17 kilograms were seized in a separate investigative case"
The announcement comes as Iraqi authorities are making headway with Operation Dawn, a large-scale anti-corruption campaign launched late June in coordination with Iraq's Federal Commission of Integrity.
To date, the operation has resulted in the arrest of dozens of Iraqi politicians and politicians, former officials, and senior babus government employees, in addition to hundreds of millions of dollars in stolen assets and seized state properties illegally transferred into private ownership.

Scientists from the University of Oxford will begin injecting willing adults in the UK with the deadly virus in a bid to build immunity against it.
The ongoing epidemic - mainly affecting the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda - has killed around 645 people and resulted in almost 1,800 confirmed cases, including one in France.
The latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 100 fatalities in the first week of July.
It has been driven by a rare strain, Bundibugyo, which currently has no vaccine and can kill up to 50 per cent of patients it infects.
The outbreak is particularly severe in regions of the DRC already affected by conflict, limiting access to healthcare and raising concerns that the true number of cases may be significantly higher than reported.
Until now, four vaccines have been in development as scientists rush to contain the virus which has already reached some parts of Europe.

The vaccine, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India, uses a harmless virus to deliver genetic material from the Bundibugyo strain into the body.
This prompts the immune system to produce antibodies capable of recognising and fighting the Ebola virus.
It was approved for use by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) after it was tested on mice and macaque monkeys.
The technology behind the vaccine is similar to that used in the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, which was developed in just 10 months - far faster than the typical timeline of around a decade.
But researcher Alex Sampson says despite the accelerated pace, safety standards have not been compromised.

Europe's only confirmed Ebola case has been in France, where a doctor tested positive last month after returning from a humanitarian mission in the DRC.
A suspected Ebola case also prompted the precautionary shutdown of part of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow a fortnight ago, before the patient tested negative.
