According to the Taliban statement, Pak aircraft bombed a house in Mandokhail village of Chamkani district in Paktia, killing an elderly man and a child. The statement said a second strike hit villagers who had gathered to rescue survivors, killing 28 people and injuring 158 others.
The Taliban also said six civilians, most of them women and kiddies, were killed after a house was struck in Walust village of Giyan district in Paktika. In Kunar’s Manogai district, another residential house was destroyed, although no casualties were reported. The statement said three homes were completely destroyed.

The Taliban deny the allegations, insisting they do not permit Afghanistan soil to be used against any country, but cross-border festivities and mutual accusations have continued to fuel tensions between the neighbours.
Pakistan said its security forces killed 29 suspected militants in ground and air operations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, days after a militant assault on a Rangers facility in Karachi killed three Pakistani security personnel.
According to Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, the operation began in Bajaur District and later expanded under the military campaign known as Ghadhab-ul-Haq, targeting positions of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and what Pakistani authorities describe as “Fitna al-Khawarij” in border areas.
Tarar said a senior Jamaat-ul-Ahrar commander, identified as Khan Forosh, and three other militants were killed during the ground operation. He added that airstrikes on targets in Paktia, Paktika and Kunar killed another 25 suspected militants and destroyed weapons and ammunition.
Pakistan said the latest offensive was launched in response to recent militant attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and the suicide assault on a Rangers compound in Karachi, where three security personnel were killed. Pakistani authorities have vowed to continue operations against militant groups until they are dismantled.

RSF attacks Um Baru locality as Joint Force launches counteroffensive into Abu Qumra
[SUDANWARMONITOR.COM] Fighting has intensified in the Daar Zaghawa region of North Darfur after the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched coordinated attacks on Um Baru locality, opening a new front in one of the last remaining areas of Darfur still outside the paramilitary group’s control.
Videos reviewed and geolocated by Sudan War Monitor show that RSF fighters entered Um Baru town on Wednesday afternoon following an advance from Abu Liha’a, a town located south of Um Baru. The footage indicates that the paramilitary succeeded in capturing the town, dealing another setback to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF)-aligned Joint Force coalition months after the fall of El Fasher.
The fighting also spread eastward toward Arari village in eastern Um Baru locality, where another RSF column advanced from the direction of Kutum. According to local sources and video evidence reviewed by Sudan War Monitor, the assault on Arari was repelled by Joint Force fighters.

A strike on Friday targeted Mansour Sami Mahmoud Shahtout, the commander of Hamas’s naval police in the Central Camps, according to the military.
Two other commanders in the naval police who were with Shahtout in the targeted vehicle were killed in the strike, the military said.
The IDF said the naval police "operates under Hamas’s military wing and advances and directs terror attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel."
The IDF said Shahtout recently worked to advance attacks on Israeli troops. All three operatives "were traveling in a vehicle while armed with weapons, and as such posed a threat to IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip," the army added.

IDF has blown up major Hezbollah tunnel, Netanyahu and Katz announce
[IsraelTimes] The IDF demolished a large Hezbollah underground facility in the southern Lebanon village of Majdal Zoun a short while ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announce.
The tunnel, which ran some 200 meters and reached depths of over 25 meters under the village, was used by Hezbollah to assemble, store and launch Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the military.
Journalists were given a tour of the tunnel earlier this month.
In a statement, Netanyahu and Katz say that Israel updated the US and the American representative in Lebanon ahead of the tunnel’s demolition.
The IDF has not yet issued a statement on the demolition, but it warned residents of northern Israel earlier that a large explosion would be heard.
The IDF had previously postponed the tunnel’s demolition amid pressure by the US on Israel to halt all military activity in southern Lebanon amid the ceasefire.
“In the next few hours, a high-intensity explosion will occur,” a statement from the Upper Galilee Regional Council reads.
The blast may trigger earthquake warnings on systems that are not connected to the IDF Home Front Command. The military is set to ensure that the explosion does not trigger its earthquake warning system, as it has done in the past for other Hezbollah tunnels that were blown up.

A Hezbollah UAV launch tunnel, approximately 200 meters long and equipped with four launch shafts, was discovered several days ago beneath civilian homes in the village of Majdal Zoun in the western sector of southern Lebanon, about 8 kilometers from the Israeli border.
Among the items found inside the tunnel were approximately 50 loitering munitions, which we assess to be *Ababil-T* drones, with a range of up to 120 kilometers and the capability to carry tens of kilograms of explosives.

The slain soldier was named as Cpt. David Hazutt, 21, a platoon commander in the Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion, from Ashkelon. He was the first Israeli fatality since Israel, Lebanon, and the United States signed a trilateral agreement on Friday aimed at paving the way for a broader peace deal between the two Middle East nations.
According to an IDF probe of the incident, at around 2 a.m., Golani soldiers encountered a Hezbollah operative as they entered a structure in the village of Deir Siryan.
The gunman opened fire on the soldiers, killing Hazutt and lightly injuring another soldier, before fleeing. Troops launched searches for the operative and struck Hezbollah sites in the area, the military added.
Following "extensive" searches in the area, Israeli troops located the gunman hiding in a nearby building and killed him, the IDF said in an update on Sunday afternoon.
The IDF said the lightly maimed soldier was taken to a hospital and his family was notified.
