Chicago Mayor Responds to City's Raging Gun Crime with More Bureaucracy

[BB] Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) responded to the city’s raging gun crime this week by signing an executive order to create a Department of Gun Violence Reduction.

FOX 32 Chicago reported that Johnson signed the order on Thursday, designating over $100 million for the department to use.

The creation of this new department comes as Chicago “faces a nearly $1 billion budget shortfall.”

Breitbart News noted at a least 39 people were shot in Chicago last weekend and six of those shooting victims succumbed to their wounds. Breitbart News reported on the violence attending the early portion of the weekend, when at least 27 shot Friday into Saturday evening alone. # id) ?>

Blacks have kill more of each other, than police have killed for ALL races. So Police have NOT earned the blame that the Left has dumped on them. So far as of May 31st 2026, Blacks have out killed more of each other than Police, by 3333.33%

If Far Left Liberal logic was used to focus on and BANNED groups responsible for the most shooting and killings from having a firearm. Think of the racism claims, for addressing the problem.

6 The stats seem to show a high percentage of murders are committed by illegals. There is probably another chunk of murders committed by folks that have previously committed 10 or more violent crimes. There are a heavy concentration of both demographics is Chicago and other big cities. My analysis is free, but Chicago can pay some crony NGOs $100M an achieve nothing.

Germany has some of Europe's strictest gun laws. Anyone under 25 must pass a psychiatric exam before applying for a gun license, and mass shootings are relatively rare.

But they do occur, and Monday's attack was among the deadliest in recent years.

In February 2020, a far-right extremist shot dead nine people and wounded five others in the central German city of Hanau.

In March 2023, a disgruntled former Jehovah's Witness member shot dead six people from the Christian group's congregation in Hamburg before killing himself.

In May 2022, a 21-year-old gunman opened fire at a secondary school in northern Germany, seriously injuring a female staff member before being arrested.
