4 I wasn't born yet and the Vietnam War isn't a major interest of mine, but Trump's approach reminds of LBJ's approach of dealing with North Vietnam: bomb the crap out of them and then let up, thinking they'll behave like rational & reasonable people who will negotiate in good faith.

5 Where is the wall? Where is the audit of Fort Knox? Trump has made a lot of promises in the past that he hasn't delivered on. Just like every other politician. In this instance he has said (repeatedly) that peace talks are immanent, a deal is almost done - and Iran denies that. His audience isn't in Iran - it's here in the US and for optics only. Frankly he has very little credibility left on any topic involving Iran at this point - my opinion.
