2 The folks I know who have seen it say it's not that bad of a movie - but the plot stinks, and the lead actress' performance isn't terribly inspired and her comments about the audience don't help.

One of these days soon, the studios might get a clue and slap a gag clause on their stars. I ain't holding my breath.

3 I've got the sneaking suspicion that these movies don't actually lose money, it's just a form of money laundering.

5 As an investment, the studios are atrocious based on what they could be making on enjoyable product. The fact that there is no correction to their product despite consistent failure speaks to a separate cash flow from a government entity with an off the books budget. In the private sector look how fast Cracker Barrel corrected their bad marketing. Woke Hollywood churns out crappy product year after year.

6 How the laundry works: investors pay the studios and "talent." International distributors pay the investors. Box office is deminimus; theaters get hosed and either shut down or become lounges.
