Good question! We have a bunch of NATO generals nearing retirement age. For their entire careers, they have prepared to go toe to toe against Russkies. To their credit, that never happened.

Still, it must be a bit disappointing, like practicing for a big game but never getting to play. Maybe as a retirement gift, we could host a war against the Russians in some out of the way place. Nothing big, we're not talking WWIII, just enough to annoy the Russians and give everyone a chance to wax nostalgic. Maybe Bosnia, or the Ukraine.
