3 Americans have free speech. Foreigners here on sufferance are not permitted to agitate and physically attack others in exercise of prejudices that are de rigueur at home.

For that matter, physically attacking (battery) or verbally threatening (assault) people you assume are members of a group you loathe, no matter your nationality, is illegal every where in this country — not a freedom of speech issue at all.

6 I certainly agree that participating in a protest, assaulting people, etc. should be grounds for rejecting a green card application. However, just not liking Jews or Israel should not be a reason. People should be allowed to hold opinions we don't like, as long as they don't act out.

7 Plenty of people want to come here for variety of reasons, Rambler. I think we are entitled to reserve the gift of permission to those who do not loathe our culture. Just like during the Cold War, when we tried to keep out Communists and old Nazis.
