Western NC is not the paradise it once was.

We sold our River Front property in Hayesville and the cabin in Murphy after the massive influx of Half Backs.

Some of the locals blamed the Erik Rapholp issue and the massive influx of Fed's.

But it was the Half-Backs that hosed the NOC area and Western NC.

8 We stopped in Ashville in 2021 at the height of COVID. We were with our grandkids and wanted to get lunch. The place we ended up with was right next to homeless central.

The restaurant wouldn't let anyone inside to eat or use the bathrooms and the public bathrooms werw what you would expect in a homeless area.

The city itself did nothing to control the activities of the homeless.

We left and found lunch on the outskirts and don't see any reason to ever return to Assholeville, NC again.

The Resturant uses 5star cooks.
However the cook mutten meat I

13 The Chair of the Dept of Psychology at UNC-Asheville is literally something called an "Environmental Psychologist".

This is not normal.

If you're curious, his job description and some of the titles of his research publications are at the university website. It is, I will confess, a bit surreal. Nonsensical.
