Watching Trump work the Iranians is like a real-time case study in modern game theory. Thomas Schelling must be smiling down from on high.

Something we need to remember is that there are two games going on here - Trump vs Iran, and the struggle between the various Iranian factions to be on top. The struggle part needs to be sorted before the final Trumpian deal is made.

My SWAG: The IRGC is going to be a sticking point. Unless the other factions can get the IRGC under control, there will be another round of blowing stuff up. After that is taken care of, the choice for the Iranians will be either A) modern oil-exporting nation or B) pastoral nation of livestock-botherers. Note that Kharg Island facilities are currently undamaged.
