MISC NYT RELATED FACTS
The NYT's prints around 300,000 copies of its daily rag.

The New York Times uses about 75 tons of paper each day (more on weekends)

At about 14 trees per newspaper ton, that works out to about 1,050 trees +/- a day (more on weekend).

At about 500 Loblolly Pine trees per acre.
That's about 2 ac of trees a day, or 766.5 ac a year

IF THEY SAY
They say they primarily use recycled paper.
Then think about the Chemicals and the processes used and the harm to the environment.

So I have to wonder how Liberals can support The NYT's, given it either Deforests 766+/- AC a year, and/or causes an Environmental impact.

9 Why would anyone spend years and years in med school, spending vast amounts of money just to live and pay tuition without any expectation of making good money as a doctor upon finally completing all the requirements to become a doctor?

Silly me. I always had to work for my health insurance. I never took it for granted. I always figured that if I got sick or injured and didn't have health insurance, I'd die because that's just the way it is. I wouldn't have anybody to blame but myself.

Somebody has to pay. I always had to pay for mine and now these socialists think I should also pay for all the deadbeats who didn't work as hard as I did? They might say that I'm fairly well off and I should be willing to help other people. Charity is a fine thing when people contribute voluntarily. But when the government imposes a tax, that's more like armed robbery. It's shocking to hear people talking like armed robbery and murder are OK. It makes me feel threatened.

10 A very wise distillation of our political divide can be boiled down to a simple absolute. Do you believe people can own property (remember money is a form of property to make it fungible) or not! Conservatives believe it is an absolute right, liberals, even the best of them, believe it is conditional.

It seems to be an important question. In his book "The Mystery of Capital: Why Capitalism Triumphs in the West and Fails Everywhere Else", Hernando de Soto (no, not that one!) came to the conclusion the key factor was property rights and a legal system that supported them.

the tl;dr: If you own something, land for example, you can use that to create wealth.
