8 The list of dead Iranians is very nice. But we're dealing with moslems. It is in their vile book, instructions straight from the 7th century barbarian of them all, simply LIE.

What amount of negotiation is worthwhile with people like that? They only 'understand' strength.
The only negotiation should be along the lines of, 'You wanna talk, throw down your weapons and come out with your hands up and maybe we won't kill all of you.'

9 Keep in mind it is rare for Trump to be obvious and this seems to be a bit too obvious.

Based on what is public knowledge, the aviators did a hell of a job on Iran, but short of lots of boots on the ground there does not seem a way to effect a regime change. I don't think the American public will tolerate the time and number of troops on the ground to effect regime change. Attempting to do so could cost the Republicans in this year's mid term and the 2028 Presidential election.
I would love to see the IRGC completely destroyed and the remaining leadership hung by their necks, but not at the cost of losing elections in 2026 & 2028.

10 Yada, yada, yada. Our side has been pushing it 24hrs a day for over a month. That is an operational tempo hard on personal and machines to sustain. Those aircraft have a maintenance hours to flying hours ratio that needs a lot of work and its at literally a world away from supply sources. The initial military priorities have been done in rendering the Iranian forces non-operational. Time to reconstitute what we have in theater to prep for phase 2 when the Iranians think they can get away with breaking it like Hamas.

I can appreciate that sentiment. As a war nerd, I was looking forward to the Day of Bridges and Power Plants, especially those cool conductive chaff bombs.

But patience, grasshopper! As St. Yogi said, to win before you fight is the acme of skill. All the stuff we just did, stomping their air defense and everything else, including all the head guys may *look* like fighting, but it was a signal, a message. We were signaling that not only are we *capable* of all that death and destruction, but we are quite willing to carry it out.

As P2K said,

Take a break, reload, have a snack, and check the tires because we are going to go again. There is going to be at least one die-hard faction that will refuse to go quietly and demand to be obliterated. It won't affect the ceasefire, though.
