3 Hmm, I am skeptical of the accuracy of the article, both the USAF & IAF air forces know how to deal with this problem. It's not classified or rocket science.

Destroy surface power and HVAC. Drop bombs down the HVAC shafts. Destroy entrances, destroy them again when they get repaired, perhaps with some delayed action bombs to get the repair crews and equipment.

4 @1 A chronic problem now is that is a LOT of information out there and determining what is actually accurate is a real problem.

My gut feeling is that we are destroying the missiles faster than they can replace them. Both the manufacturing and supply chains are being hit as often as the USAF & IAF get credible information on the targets.

5 Chantry, speaking as a complete layman I agree with your impressions, but my overall impression from this squabble and from Ukraine is that missile and drone offense is way ahead of missile and drone defense. Are interceptors the way to go, and can we build enough of them?

7 @5 The never ending story in the history of military technology. Right now offensive drone technology is probably ahead of defensive drone technology. What we have now works, but isn't cost effective, but that's already being worked on.
The anti missile technology is better, but that's unlikely to get less expensive barring some major breakthrough.
To a degree the poor build quality of the Iranian missiles actually complicates the intercepts since the Iranian missile can not be counted on to follow the initial course.
