1 My thought is that the US and Israel initially left Kharg Island alone as a bargaining chip to see if the Mullahs/IRGC might come to their senses and it would leave something for the Iranian future finances. 'Every Fool Deserves a Break', or something like that.

Apparently that didn't happen.

3 Iran has maybe 10 days before that MEU from Japan arrives. If Iran doesn't stop attacking oil and LNG tankers, the MEU is going to take Kharg Island which will bring Iran's economy to almost complete stop. No more money for anything.

We can't live in the same world together.
There are 200-400 million Shia Muslims and 2 billion Sunni.
