So the CCP is buying high?
$4,211.64+ up $2k since just a year ago.

But I have to say it makes more sense than buying Treasury bonds from the USA, which is $37T in debt. Which is roughly 7x's it gross annual collected tax revenues

4 The Russian government has already sold up to 58% of its gold reserves in the last few months, mostly to oligarchs, in exchange for Rubles, to bolster the money supply (and pay their 'bills').

The oligarchs are happy as gold makes a much better 'traveling companion' than the Russian Ruble in case a bug-out is in order.

The CCP looked at this and said "I want some, too!" and Russia was willing to comply (like they really had no choice).
