2 There were something like 500 miles of tunnels, Super Hose, more complex, ‘tis said, than the London Metro — level after level of the thing that cost about a billion dollars to build, as I recall. If they really want to collapse the entire complex, they’ll be at it for years. I have to wonder if portions of the Strip won’t be below sea level by the time it’s done.

3 Thinking about the situation; it would not have made sense to take care of the tunnels earlier than now. Technologically, it would not be hard to map the tunnels. Taking care of them now is also ok because they don’t exist.
