1 Not having relevant experience, it seems to me the argument is that Iran never really did have much of an air force to obliterate, so the expensive weaponry to obliterate it was a big waste of explosives and jet fuel.

Perhaps better work for a few A-10s?

7 FWIW Tom Cooper also rails on Putin as well as Trump in the article. He's cynical about politicians in general but very well versed on aircraft, having written over 50 books analyzing their capabilities and how they were implemented tactically in various conflicts.
