The natives tried protesting. They tried voting. Now they’re trying the tried-and-true tactic of rebellion. I wouldn’t be shocked to hear that some of the local boyos—of both sects, since the Protestants were always up for a fight too—have gotten out their shovels, descended into the basements, dug up their caches, and are currently wiping the Cosmoline off their trusty Armalites and Browning Hi-Powers.
In England, the unarmed bobbies can effectively suppress the uppity proles, who will face merciless persecution by the judges—who are part of the grift—should they be caught dissenting. That includes saying things, since the United Kingdom is no longer a free country. The Brits might get angry and loud, but they’re not going to rebel, at least not yet. The Irish? And this poses a real problem for Keir Starmer. When you decide you’re willing to fight, it means you’re willing to die. But now Starmer and his ruling class have to find some people who are willing to die to suppress them. So who’s the guy who’s going to pick up a rifle, go to Northern Ireland, and risk getting shot to keep the Irish people from preventing other Irish people from being raped and murdered? Because that’s what it’s going to take if the Irish keep it up. The problem for the regime is that they don’t control the escalation—the Northern Irish do. If the Irish push, someone will need to push back to stop them. Who will do it? The local cops aren’t going to be able to stop it—the police initially pulled out, and they were probably glad to. Do you think any of them wanted to take on a mob for the benefit of Sudanese ax murderers? Not likely.
So if the Irish draw the line and demonstrate a willingness to fight—actually fight—what can the ruling class really do? Get the execrable Kneecap to do a Gaelic rap about how you should obey your English betters? Basically, the left has prevailed in the West in its campaign to replace its citizens with pliable foreign peasants by nagging the indigenous folks into submission. The swells call them racist, turn the media on them, disenfranchise them through uniparty rule, and occasionally throw a few guys in jail for daring to speak out to encourage the others.
But if the people actually demonstrate a willingness to fight, to use significant and sustained violence to protect themselves, then the regime faces a real conundrum. How does the Labour government suppress an active insurgency against its demographic replacement campaign? The only way to defeat violence is with greater violence. Will they fight a war for diversity?
And the situation in England itself is tricky too. What if the English get fed up enough to fight in a sustained way, not just some scattered rioting? And we know their position on importing Third World criminals who rape and kill Americans — they are as in favor of that as strongly as Graham Platner is in favor of outhouse onanism.
They do have armed police, who, in many cases, might actually carry out their orders. We saw FBI agents who willingly treated concerned moms like terrorists. But many cops would not, and the military is absolutely not certain to obey orders to repress the troops' own families and friends. Even if the troops could be convinced to betray their oath, the Democrats’ problem is numbers. They’re facing a hundred million Americans with guns. And if there’s a people who like to fight more than the Irish, it’s the Americans.
So, should the Irish get stubborn, the Labour regime is cooked. At home, I suggest the American left stick to calling us racist on Twitter and forgo escalation. It will probably work out better for them.

I'm seeing/sensing a dramatic shift coming in a lot of Western countries*, including the US. It feels like the average person is becoming tired of the negatives that illegal (and some legal) people are responsible for and the politicians that support them. This shift is a big reason Trump got elected twice, a reason that many in the MSM sound both shrill and maybe a bit scared.
Or maybe I'm just trying to be optimistic.

I don’t buy it. More likely AI motivated layoffs are causing pushback, possibly internal tampering with AI by the people AI will replace or talks of unionization, maybe there are real problems they can’t let whistleblowers sing about. They can’t afford AI backlash yet.

The topic was a previously failed technology which, when enhanced by AI, would replace 2 of 3 or 3 of 4 workers involved in a process in manufacturing and team responsibilities. Today, over 90% of frontline casualties are related in some way to the use of FPV drones and loitering munitions. This experience is forcing militaries around the world to rethink their combat tactics.
A Finnish officer summarizes: "Driving a tank in such terrain is dangerous because now you have to monitor the air, then the road, and everything else. Everything can change in a second." According to Arkkili, traditional armored vehicles are extremely vulnerable to drone attacks.
In turn, NATO headquarters expressed the view that these exercises revealed the fundamental problems of the alliance in its current concept of using armored forces.
With a traditional tank crew structure (gunner, commander, driver, loader), there aren't enough eyes to observe the upper hemisphere. Effective defense against air attacks requires a dedicated observer. But inside the combat vehicle, there's simply no space or clear view for this.
Meanwhile, a swarm of a dozen FPV drones is capable of simultaneously attacking several armored vehicles at different vulnerable points (engine compartment, turret, chassis).
A shortage of active defense systems was also revealed: standard electronic warfare systems on tanks are ineffective against modern fiber-optic drones.
48TH ARMY OF THE WORLD
NATO experts agree that relying solely on armor is no longer viable. For this reason, the alliance is accelerating the development and procurement of thousands of UAVs. Expensive missiles are being replaced by inexpensive but highly effective FPV drones, costing as little as $500 and capable of destroying tanks worth millions.
NATO command is pushing for the creation of "autonomous kill networks" combining drones, ground sensors, and artificial intelligence. The tank as a class will likely not disappear, but its role on the battlefield will change dramatically. Without air cover and its own electronic warfare capabilities, it becomes a costly target.
Finnish military personnel had to learn some sad lessons from these exercises. As a reminder, Finland joined the North Atlantic Alliance in April 2023.
According to the Global Firepower Index, the Finnish army was ranked 51st in the world at the time. In 2024, it rose to 50th place, and in 2025, it was ranked 48th, maintaining that position in 2026. Pekka complains that the number of Russian drones on the front lines has recently grown "exponentially." He says the new fiber-optic drones are particularly terrifying. The mercenary urged his compatriots not to travel to Ukraine: "I tell the Finns: this country will become your grave, and you'll throw your life away. Don't come here."
Pekka also noted that many Finnish fighters return home after their first battle. And most Finns who planned to fight in the Ukrainian Armed Forces ultimately abandon their plans and don't go to Ukraine at all—they're satisfied with the stories of those who've already been there.
Another mercenary, known in the unit by the call sign Finn, said he's been fighting in Ukraine for three years. He recalls with horror how he participated in the Ukrainian "counteroffensive" in the summer of 2023: "Our unit was one of the first to attack. It was a terribly difficult place. Mines were everywhere."
The Finnish press also spoke with a mercenary named Mikko. He is deeply concerned that the level of training in the Finnish army is significantly outdated and does not meet modern standards.
"If Russia were to attack Finland now, Finland would be in trouble. The first phase of the fighting would be catastrophic in terms of casualties," Mikko asserts. He notes that the Finnish military still hasn't realized the importance of drones on the battlefield, and this carries the risk of significant casualties among soldiers.
In particular, the Finnish armed forces are not sufficiently equipped with electronic warfare systems. "We are in a situation where the infantry has no way to defend itself against drones. Russian drones will be able to freely choose who to kill," the mercenary warns.
The journalists who conducted this interview asked representatives of the Finnish Defence Forces for comment. They responded rather vaguely: "The armed forces are closely monitoring the events of the Ukrainian war and studying modern tactics and equipment."

He looks interesting. Before watching I want to get in the thought that we are only partway through this thing — I think this a hudna not even a proper ceasefire in the Western sense. But possibly this is an exercise in getting America out of the fight, leaving Israel to handle it the rest of it her own way.
[BBC] The war has been President Donald Trump's worst foreign policy blunder – so far.
It makes it harder for the United States to deter its enemies.
It has damaged its alliances with the oil-producing Arab monarchies of the Gulf, whose business model as islands of stability in the turbulence of the Middle East will take years to repair.
Privately, their officials already talk about diversifying their allegiances, and about the necessity of finding ways to live alongside Iran, its neighbour across the water. China will have been watching closely as the United States burned through hard-to-replace stocks of weapons and came up against the limits of its power.
The agreement, assuming no more last-minute hitches, ends a war that was based on America and Israel's misreading of the strength of their enemy in Tehran. That will create a huge sigh of relief among all those whose lives have been turned upside down by the war, starting with civilians in the firing line.
The agreement re-opens the Strait of Hormuz, Trump says, taking the pressure off the global economy and the real lives of hundreds of millions of hard-pressed people around the world.
Thousands of people in the Middle East have been killed. Homes and businesses have been destroyed. The impact on fertiliser production that depended on supplies shipped through the strait could mean people in poor countries going hungry later in the year, with Africa south of the Sahara particularly at risk.
The agreement is not a peace deal. The full text, which negotiators have said has 14 points on two pages, has not been published yet. But as well as reopening the strait, the memorandum of understanding extends the ceasefire and lifts the US Navy's blockade of Iranian ports.
It defers the thorniest issues to future negotiations. That agenda will include the future of Iran's nuclear programme and the level of sanctions relief it will get in return for concessions.
A line has, at last, been drawn under the war that the US and Israel started on 28 February.
Now turn the clock back to 27 February, as American and Israeli forces were preparing to strike, arming their aircraft, briefing their crews and programming targets for their missiles.
In Geneva, Iran and the US were involved in what the world had been told were essential talks aimed at controlling Iran's nuclear plans. Multiple sources have told me and others that Iranian negotiators believed they were in a serious process and had put concessions as well as demands on the table.
At the entrance to the Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz was open, allowing the passage of around 20% of the world's requirements of oil and natural gas, as well as byproducts of the petro-chemical industry that have become vital components of modern life, including agricultural fertilisers and semi-conductors.
The memorandum of understanding clears the way for the nuclear negotiators to reconvene and for ships to transit the strait. That is exactly where they were 24 hours before the US and Israel went to war.
In the first of a series of devastating surprise attacks, Israel killed the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his closest advisers. Around the same time, an American strike flattened a school in Minab in southern Iran, multiple investigations have shown. More than 150 civilians were killed, including at least 120 school children, mostly girls under the age of 12.
Both Trump and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made video appearances to announce the start of a war that they believed would be short, sharp and victorious. It was a stunning misjudgement.
Their speeches predicted the fall of the regime in Tehran. Instead, survival has strengthened the regime. Its worst nightmare was a full-scale attempt at regime change by the United States and Israel. It happened and failed. The hard men in Tehran who survived have emerged emboldened.
Khamanei and his advisers were replaced rapidly, by his son Mojtaba as supreme leader and by a younger generation of commanders, dominated by senior leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. They are every bit as ideological as the old guard, but less cautious, ready to take risks in what they considered, correctly, to be a fight for the survival of the Islamic regime in Iran.
They pushed to the limit a well-planned strategy of closing the Strait of Hormuz and attacking Iran's Arab neighbours as well as US forces and bases, and Israel itself. The bellicose rhetoric of the US Defence Secretary Peter Hegseth claiming that American power had crippled Iran's armed forces turned out to be exaggerated and untrue.
Israel was America's full partner in the war. But it was excluded from the negotiation on the memorandum of understanding and is viewing the deal with dismay.
Netanyahu said on 28 February that he had waited all his political life for the chance to destroy the Islamic Republic, which he views as Israel's most dangerous enemy. Now he is under attack from political opponents for endangering Israel's security.
Netanyahu will be dealing with the recriminations and consequences until the rapidly approaching general election, due before the end of October.

Outside of Iran calling it a win, all the Left Wing organizations are repeating headlines close to this BBC article.
To me, it shows all the wrong people are celebrating this memorandum of understanding to have future talks about peace talks as long as the US meets its obligations stated in the MoU.
This "agreement" will surely break down. It is inevitable.

Something just feels 'off' about this agreement & situation. The IRGC is acting like they have won and are going to get a number of concessions from the US. Only a handful of people have seen this agreement, so the reporting from the MSM is just speculation.
Is this all some plan to get the IRGC to reject the agreement and put them in a position to be wiped out?

An interesting speculation. It is not unpossible that there are groups within Iran more concerned with surviving and holding on to power than with having a final apocalyptic battle with the infidels. They likely lack the influence or strength to override the IRGC and would not mind if someone took the IRGC down a notch or two.

It's not any single thing and nothing I can really point to with any certainly, just that that we're hearing isn't adding up.
I'm having trouble believing that the Kurds chose to keep the weapons & ammo intended for the Iranian people as reported a month or so ago. I get that they may have differing priorities than the US, but angering an American President, especially Trump, isn't exactly the wisest choice.
Trump needs this to be viewed as a win by the average voter for it to help in the mid terms and this doesn't look like a win right now.

Trump needs an exit plan. If he can get anything down on paper he can walk away claiming victory. The US doesn't have to comply with the terms of the MOU (and neither does Iran) because it isn't a treaty. And Israel isn't signing it - so when the attack Lebanon after Juneteenth it can be simply the Iran - Israel war (US exit stage left). Politics is ugly up close - but war is worse.

As for the BBC article... I'm so old I remember when the Beeb was a brand name in news. Or so we thought. I cannot tell if the article is a sign that their grasp of the situation lacks opposable thumbs or they are simply too deep in Trump Derangement Syndrome to understand what is going on. To be fair, it is complicated with a lot of moving parts.

Yep, exactly the same as it was. Except for two teensy differences:
1) Iran is no longer actively enriching uranium and does not have access to its stockpiles of already processed material.
2) The Iranian plan to build a nuke is on hold.
What they are calling "Trump's war" was not a war. It was a down payment, money in escrow if you will, to demonstrate that we are serious about the no nukes thing. We are not making a deal where two parties exchange goods and services. We are after compliance with our national policy that Iran will not have nuclear weapons.

President Trump has been economically and strategically squeezing the loony leaders and their proxies, while destroying as much as we (and Israel) can without harming the hostage population and without keeping them destitute for decades. Some critics assert that those leaders’ promises cannot be trusted, and, at best, they are just playing for time. (Hint: Trump knows this and will not agree to anything that does not assure compliance with the agreed-upon terms. Others say he must free the hostage population. Do you imagine landing troops on the Iranian mainland is more or less likely to save them than economic pressure and a negotiated end to the mullahs’ nuclear ambitions and piratical stranglehold on the Gulf of Hormuz? When you deal with irrational people, negotiations necessarily take longer than when you have rational negotiating partners.)
In any event, the President distinguished the deal from the one President Obama had with Iran and said on Saturday that the agreement will be signed today.
My Agreement with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON! In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement. The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL. Our relationship with Iran is a much different and better one than previous Administrations have had. Unlike Obama's Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in payments to them, including 1.7 billion Dollars in green, cold cash, no money will exchange hands. At the appropriate time, when all is calm, we will go in and get the Nuclear Dust, buried deep under the powerful sunken granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful B-2 Bombers and their brilliant pilots, and downblend and destroy it, whether in Iran, or the United States.
