[FoxNews] Four suspects were federally indicted in connection with break-ins targeting small business owners
ICE said federal agents captured members of a South American theft ring believed to be in the U.S. illegally who attacked families in a series of violent armed break-ins across Texas.
According to the agency, the group targeted small business owners across the Lone Star State.
In one incident, video obtained by FOX News shows two masked men holding handguns chasing a screaming resident around his house. The victim was seen being hit by the suspects.
Four suspects have been federally indicted in connection with the break-ins, and two have been convicted.
The group is believed to be members of the South American Theft Group (SATG), an organized network of foreign nationals, primarily from South America, who travel throughout the U.S. targeting wealthy homes and businesses by committing burglaries and thefts, according to ICE.
The members, ICE stated, use encrypted messaging apps, burner phones and pre-surveillance of neighborhoods to identify and target victims. Items stolen include high-value jewelry, luxury watches and cash.
ICE said most members of the group are in the U.S. illegally or remain in the country on expired visas.
One man involved, 38-year-old Joel Hallynson Espinal-Cantareo, is an illegal migrant from Honduras who was convicted and sentenced in September to more than 11 years in federal prison for interference with interstate commerce by robbery, according to ICE. His federal sentence will run consecutively to pending state cases.
Espinal-Cantareo was involved in at least three armed home invasions at residences in Irving, Cedar Hill and Frisco, investigators said. In those incidents, business owners were pistol-whipped, zip-tied and forced to hand over cash and valuable items.
"This 11-year sentence sends a clear message that violent crime and threats to public safety will not be tolerated," Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Dallas Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard said in a statement. "Espinal-Cantareo's actions affected small businesses and endangered lives. This significant sentence reflects the seriousness of those crimes. ICE will continue to work closely with our federal, state and local partners to protect our communities and bring violent offenders to justice."
Three suspects were indicted after HSI presented the federal case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Sherman. A fourth suspect, who was prosecuted separately by the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, has since been convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
Two other cases are still pending, according to ICE.
ICE said it has issued an immigration detainer to ensure Espinal-Cantareo is transferred to federal immigration custody when he finishes his federal sentence. The agency said it will pursue his deportation following his release from federal custody.

Bradford said the arrests of gang members, child predators and other violent criminals "prevented countless Houstonians from having to suffer from the nightmares and PTSD that come with being a victim of violent crime."
These arrests came after another ICE Houston operation in August resulted in 822 arrests and another in February and March that led to 543 arrests.

Aston Villa defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 in a Europa League soccer match played on Thursday under tight security in Birmingham, central England, with visiting Israeli fans barred.
Ian Maatsen gave Villa the lead in first-half stoppage time, steering the ball in from a tight angle. Donyell Malen then sealed the result from the penalty spot a minute before the hour mark after Elad Madmon had fouled Ezri Konsa.
More than 700 police were deployed across Birmingham as some 200 pro-Paleostinian and a few dozen pro-Israel protesters held separate demonstrations outside Villa Park stadium in the run-up to kick-off.
Police made six arrests. They said a 21-year-old man was arrested for failing to comply with an order to remove a face mask, while a 17-year-old boy was arrested for failing to comply with a dispersal order. Three others were arrested for racially aggravated public order offenses and another for breach of the peace.

The atmosphere became particularly heated when coppers briefly formed a cordon to prevent a surge of protesters after an Israeli flag was reportedly waved by a passerby.
Villa announced last month that no Maccabi fans would be allowed at the match following a police risk assessment.
The decision sparked criticism, including from Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who set about trying to reverse the move, but the Israeli club later announced it would decline tickets for its fans anyway, citing safety concerns.

Birmingham, the UK’s second-largest city and home to a significant Moslem population, has been the scene of regular pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel rallies over the last two years.
Police classified Thursday’s fixture as "high risk," citing "violent mostly peacefulfestivities and hate crime offences" during a Europa League match in Amsterdam between Maccabi and local team Ajax last November.
There was a large visible police presence outside Villa Park, with officers wearing protective padding and carrying riot helmets. Police horses were also deployed.
"We are experienced at policing high-profile football matches and demonstrations, and for many weeks now, we have been working closely with different faith and local community groups to listen to their views and concerns," West Midlands Police said.
Signs were hung near the stadium reading "no war games allowed" and "Give Zionism the Red Card," while channels spearheaded by far-right activist Tommy Robinson had made Islamophobic statements about the match and planned protests.
Maccabi Tel Aviv has criticized "hate-filled falsehoods" about its supporters.
Ayoub Khan, the independent MP for the area covering Villa Park, who was elected last year on a pro-Paleostinian ticket, said there was a "large concentration of Moslems" in the local area who had voiced fears about racism.
Aston Villa urged supporters not to display political symbols during the match — a practice banned under protocols issued by UEFA, the governing body of European football.

Back in the old Soviet Union days, after one of the dust-ups with Israel, it was reported somewhere that Russians blamed Syrian incompetence and cowardice for the failure of their weapons. They might have had a point there but I doubt if Venezuelans can do any better.

[Breitbart] Militants from a German Antifa cell have claimed responsibility for an arson attack on a leading populist politician’s car outside his family home, which was previously doxed online by leftists.
Posting on the far-left platform Indymedia, an Antifa group said that they “destroyed” the BMW car belonging to MP Bernd Baumann, the managing director of the Alternative for Germany parliamentary group in the Bundestag, with an “incendiary device” on Monday evening.
“Form one, two, three, many hammer gangs! Antifascist alert, whether with a hammer or a Molotov cocktail! We don’t want to see any sexists, racists, or fascists in our city! All you damn MAGAfreaks, you will follow [Charlie] Kirk to hell!” the group wrote.
Among their list of grievances were the upcoming trials of fellow Antifa radicals in Germany and the recent designation of the far-left international network as a terrorist organisation by the Trump administration in the United States and Viktor Orbán’s government in Hungary.
They wrote: “In times when the everyday, murderous, racist practices of Nazis, ordinary citizens, and cops are constantly increasing, when the military sealing off of Europe, Germany, and the USA against refugees is intensifying, and when the US president babbles about loving the smell of deportations in the morning and uses the military against anti-racist protest and resistance, in these times it is urgently necessary to organise militantly anti-fascistally.
“In other words, to do exactly what the accused Antifa members are now being charged with.”
On Monday, the Hamburg police confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the alleged arson attack, which the force noted impacted several cars, some of which were burned out “completely”. The police force said that State Security officials have been brought in to take the lead of the investigation.
Baumann told Die Welt that due to being targeted by far-leftists, he has had to install steel doors and get a guard dog, saying: “My house is constantly being attacked. My wife is really scared.”
The MP said that just last month his home address was published alongside two other AfD politicians in Hamburg on the same Indymedia platform by an anonymous author.
He went on to accuse the local prosecutor of dropping cases against far-left radicals over claims that the perpetrators could not be identified. But Baumann said that in reality, authorities know exactly “where Antifa lives” but that there has been “no pressure to prosecute” them.
In a statement, the co-leaders of the AfD party, Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla said: “An attack on a leading representative of the largest opposition party is a direct attack on democracy in Germany,”
The expressed hope “that the AfD parliamentary group can count on the solidarity and support of the other parliamentary groups in the German Bundestag in the fight against these enemies of democracy.”

The incident at the prestigious concert hall in the French capital caused brief panic in the crowd and forced musicians to leave the stage.
Terrifying footage showed audience members reacting after the pro-Palestinian supporter lit a flare and filled the venue with red smoke.
Concert goers were filmed as they lunged themselves toward the protester, as some threw violent punches before eventually getting the demonstrator to drop the torch and flee.
Some panicked members of the public could be seen screaming and running away from the chaos, while others booed and jeered at the protesters.
A protester reportedly shouted 'Israel Assassin' before the flares were set off twice, according to Jonathan Arfi, the president of France's national Jewish organization CRIF.
The commotion forced musicians to stop their performance until the protesters were removed from the concert hall.
The venue said several spectators repeatedly interrupted Thursday evening's concert given by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, including twice setting off smoke.
The Paris Philharmonic said it had filed a complaint over the disruption, adding it 'deplores and strongly condemns the serious incidents that occurred'.
On three occasions, individuals who had purchased tickets attempted to disrupt the concert and fellow spectators intervened, the concert venue said.
The protesters were removed and the concert allowed to resume peacefully, it added.
A French prosecutor said on Friday that three women and one man were in custody over the incident.
'I condemn this action, it was dangerous, it is a way to kidnap culture and arts in order to use it to send violent messages inside French society,' Arfi said.
The visit by Israel's leading orchestra had drawn criticism from several groups ahead of the event, over the country's conduct during its two-year military offensive in Gaza and its severe restrictions on allowing aid into to the occupied Palestinian territory.

Police seized weapons and arrested a British man suspected of links to alleged Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... members in Germany who are accused of plotting attacks on Jewish targets, authorities said Thursday.
The man, 39, named only as Mohammed A. for privacy reasons, was arrested in London on a German arrest warrant earlier this week, German prosecutors said.
Germany’s Federal Prosecutor said the suspect was a member of the Hamas terror group and had twice met a fellow member in Berlin over the summer.
His Berlin contact, a German citizen known as Abed Al G., was one of three alleged Hamas "foreign operatives" detained last month on suspicion of attempting to procure weapons for the attacks. Police seized an AK-47 assault rifle, handguns and ammunition during their arrests. Hamas has denied any connection to the three.
The suspect arrested this week had been given five handguns and ammunition, which he transported to Vienna for storage, according to Germany’s Federal Prosecutor.
"The purpose of the activity was to prepare deadly attacks by Hamas on Israeli or Jewish establishments in Germany and Europe," the German prosecutors said.
Austria’s state intelligence agency DSN seized the arms in Vienna after probing "a globally active terrorist organization with close ties" to Hamas, the country’s interior ministry said in a statement.
The Austrian ministry, too, said, "There is a suspicion that a group has brought weapons to Austria in order to have them ready for possible terrorist attacks" targeting "Israeli or Jewish institutions in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... in particular."
The UK’s National Crime Agency, which investigates serious and organized crime, said the suspect was scheduled to appear in court in London on November 10.
A suitcase containing five handguns and ten magazines was discovered in a rental locker in Austrian capital Vienna on Thursday. Although possession of a handgun with the correct licence and background checks, it was stated these weapons had been smuggled into the country by Hamas operatives to be hidden as a “cache” available to terrorists.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Multiple people at a military base right outside of Washington DC were rushed to the hospital after someone opened a ‘suspicious package’ that contained white powder and political propaganda.
The suspicious envelope was opened at around 1pm Thursday in a building at Joint Base Andrews that houses the Air National Guard Readiness Center, which had to be evacuated while several people were transported to the on-base Malcolm Grove Medical Center, CNN reports.
‘Joint Base Andrews first responders were dispatched to the scene, determined there were no immediate threats and have turned the scene over to [the] Office of Special Investigations,’ officials said.
‘An investigation is currently ongoing.’
As part of the investigation, authorities are said to be looking into political propaganda that was sent along with the mysterious substance. Meanwhile, the room where the envelope was opened remains closed.
It remains unclear what may have caused the soldiers to fall ill, as one source told CNN that an initial field test conducted by a HAZMAT team did not detect anything dangerous.
It is also unclear whether anyone or any specific department was targeted at the base, from where the president, vice president and members of Congress take off for official trips.
But it comes one month after a federal office building in New York City had to be evacuated after employees found another envelope containing white powder.
The building houses the city's Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office as well as the Department of Homeland Security, though it is unclear if the suspicious envelope was directed at either office.
Tensions across the country have only increased since then, however, amid the nation's longest-ever government shutdown, which has seen federal employees like air traffic controllers working without pay for weeks and left millions of Americans without food stamps.
Trump has since admitted the shutdown contributed to Tuesday night's election losses for Republicans.
'I think if you read the pollsters, the shutdown was a big factor – negative for the Republicans,' the president told GOP senators at a breakfast on Wednesday, after Democrats proved victorious throughout the country.

The Israel Defense Forces on Thursday conducted a wave of Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s against infrastructure and weapon depots belonging to Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force in southern Leb ...The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else?... , saying they would step up attacks unless the terror group was disarmed.
Giving a preliminary toll, the Lebanese health ministry said that one person was maimed in the afternoon bombing after one person was killed in strikes earlier in the day. Israel had issued evacuation orders ahead of the strikes.
The attacks were condemned by Lebanon’s national government, but an IDF official warned they were "just a preview" of what’s to come if the Iran-backed terror group is not fully disarmed by the Lebanese military.
The airstrikes came after the IDF issued evacuation warnings for several sites in the towns of Kfar Dounine, Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, Ayta al-Jabal, Taybeh, and Tayr Debba.
The locations ranged from just 4 km (2.5 miles) away from the Israeli border to nearly 24 km (15 miles) north of the frontier.
The warnings ordered residents to keep a 500-meter (yard) distance from the identified locations. Lebanon’s civil defense helped people to evacuate, the Lebanese state news agency said. ... and if you can't believe the state news agency who can you believe? According to the IDF, the targeted weapon depots were "located in the heart of a civilian population and serve as another example of the Hezbollah terror organization’s cynical use of Lebanese civilians as human shields."
The strikes on Thursday destroyed an ironworks business in the southern Lebanon town of Abbasiyeh, according to Rooters.
"The Hezbollah terror organization continues attempts to restore terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon and is focusing on rebuilding the [Radwan Force’s] capabilities with the aim of harming the State of Israel," the IDF said.
The military added that it took steps to mitigate civilian harm in the strikes, including by issuing the evacuation warnings, using precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and other intelligence.
The IDF said the existence of the Hezbollah infrastructure and weapon depots constituted a violation of the November 2024 ceasefire deal, which allows the IDF to respond to immediate threats.
LEBANON’S PRESIDENT CALLS WAVE OF STRIKES ILLEGAL, ’DESPICABLE’
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun slammed the strikes as a violation of international law, in a post on X.
"What Israel did today in southern Lebanon is not only a crime under international law... but also a despicable political crime," he wrote.
He added that while Lebanon remains open to negotiations, Israel continues its aggression against Lebanon.
He concluded: "Almost a year since the ceasefire came into effect, Israel has spared no effort to show its refusal of an arrangement between the two countries — your message has been received."

Israel has given Beirut an ultimatum that it will carry out a broad operation if the Lebanese Armed Forces don’t step up their efforts, according to the outlet.
ISRAEL SAID TO HAND US, FRANCE EVIDENCE HEZBOLLAH REBUILDING
According to Channel 12, Israel handed evidence of Hezbollah’s rearmament and failure by the LAF to disarm the Shiite terror group to the US and La Belle France, who are both part of the mechanism monitoring the ceasefire.
The evacuation warnings on Thursday coincided with a meeting of Lebanon’s cabinet to hear an update from army commander Rodolphe Haykal on progress in confiscating Hezbollah arms depots in south Lebanon.
The army has said it could clear all of southern Lebanon of arms outside of state control by the end of the year. Two senior Lebanese security officials told Rooters hours before the heavy strikes on Thursday that their troops were making swifter progress every month on disarmament.
US SANCTIONS HEZBOLLAH MEMBERS INVOLVED IN FINANCES
Also Thursday, the US imposed sanctions on three Hezbollah members involved in financial transactions for the Iran-backed terror group.
The sanctions were announced ahead of a visit to Lebanon by John Hurley, the Treasury Department official in charge of sanctions against Death Eater groups.
The Treasury Department said it was imposing sanctions on three Hezbollah members, blocking any assets they have in the United States and making transactions with them subject to prosecution.
The three allegedly were involved in transfers of tens of millions of dollars from Iran, the Shiite movement’s main sponsor, in part by using money exchange companies that operate in cash.
