The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, working with ICE agents, arrested 120 illegal immigrants during an operation at a port of entry near the Texas border.
The plan, dubbed Operation Guardian, was a comprehensive deportation effort launched by Gov. Kevin Stitt in coordination with Oklahoma’s Department of Public Safety.
The sting took place along Interstate 40, where officials found most offenders with unverifiable licenses behind the wheels of 80,000-pound 18-wheelers.
During the operation, troopers encountered more than 500 people and turned 120 over to ICE, according to officials.
Department of Public Safety Commissioner Tim Tipton said the findings were alarming, highlighting a serious safety risk. Many of the licenses were either expired by nearly a decade or listed under a single name, making identification impossible.
"You don’t have a minor collision with a commercial vehicle," Tipton said. "An 80,000-pound truck at 70 miles an hour isn’t going to be a minor crash."
Oklahoma’s Operation Guardian plan states that the state currently houses about 525 undocumented offenders in its prisons, costing $36,000 per day.
The plan alleges that 30% of those crimes are violent offenses against children, 20% violent assaults, 14% homicides or other violent deaths, and 7% sex crimes. It notes that most offenders are from Mexico (72%), followed by Guatemala, Honduras, and Vietnam.
Stitt said the operation is designed to move undocumented offenders directly from state and county custody into federal deportation proceedings, ending what he calls years of federal neglect.
"Former President Biden’s weak border policies allowed our country to become a safe haven for criminal illegal migrants — that ends in Oklahoma with Operation Guardian," Stitt said. "These dangerous illegal aliens should not be walking our streets, and they soon won’t be. Oklahoma will continue to stand for law and order."
The plan expands ICE agreements so some state and local officers can detain and transfer offenders. It also allows parole boards to send noncitizen inmates straight to federal custody if deportation orders are already in place.
It will implement a Rapid REPAT program as well, allowing eligible inmates to skip appeals and move directly into deportation.

[IsraelTimes] A 67-year-old man wearing a kippah was violently attacked by a man who made antisemitic threats on Saturday in Yerres (Essonne), a suburb south of Paris.
According to a police source, the attack took place around 7:45 a.m. in the town in the northern Essonne region, bordering Val-de-Marne.
“Dirty Jew, I’m going to kill you,” the attacker repeated, according to the source.
“An investigation is underway into the charges of attempted robbery with violence resulting in a total incapacity for work of more than eight days committed on religious grounds and for death threats on religious grounds,” Grégoire Dulin, public prosecutor of Evry, told AFP.
The investigation has been entrusted to the Essonne Territorial Crime Directorate. No arrests have been made at this stage, the magistrate specified.

An accomplice to a convicted Chinese spy — a former aide to German far-right politician Maximilian Krah in the European parliament — was handed a suspended sentence on Tuesday, after passing information to Beijing on arms shipments to Israel.
The court in Dresden found the former aide, Jian Guo, guilty of acting as an agent for a Chinese intelligence service while working for Krah, a member of the anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, and tossed in the clink Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! him for four years and nine months.
Guo’s accomplice, a woman named only as Yaqi X., was given a suspended sentence of one year and nine months.
"There is no question that you were an employee of a Chinese intelligence service," presiding judge Hans Schlueter-Staats said to Guo, citing wiretapped conversations and other evidence.
Prosecutors had sought seven and a half years in jail for Guo, a German national who worked as a Brussels-based staffer for Krah between 2019 and 2024.
They told the court that Guo had worked for Chinese intelligence from 2002 and used his position in Krah’s office to gather intelligence on European affairs and on the AfD.
The court heard he passed on hundreds of documents and collected information about leading AfD politicians, including party leaders Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla.
He also spied on Chinese opposition figures and dissidents in Germany.
CARGO MOVEMENTS
Chinese national Yaqi X., who worked at a firm that provided Leipzig airport with logistics services, admitted she had passed on information to Guo about flight schedules and cargo movements.
She shared details on military planes, troops, and drones, including those being sent to Israel, prosecutors said.
Krah, now an MP in Berlin, told the court earlier this month he had employed Guo because of his language skills and experience of running an import-export firm.
"At no time was I warned by any public authority, whether from the Federal Republic (of Germany) or the EU, of any danger," Krah said in the witness stand.
Security checks at the European Parliament were "very thorough," he added, meaning that he assumed "everything would be fine."
Krah is under investigation separately on suspicion of money laundering and taking bribes from Chinese sources during his time as an MEP.
News weekly Der Spiegel has reported, citing the investigation file, that the AfD politician received more than 50,000 euros ($58,700) from companies close to Guo between 2019 and 2022 alone.
OFFICES SEARCHED
The accusations against his former aide — along with comments minimizing the crimes of the Nazis’ notorious SS paramilitaries — led to Krah being excluded from the AfD’s delegation in the European parliament in 2024.
The controversy also prompted the AfD’s expulsion from the Identity and Democracy (ID) group.
But Krah was elected to the German parliament in February this year, when the AfD scored a record 20.8 percent of the vote.
Earlier this month, the Bundestag lifted his immunity as part of the corruption probe.
Krah’s offices in Berlin, Brussels, and Dresden were searched along with his home, and documents and electronic devices were seized, according to prosecutors.
Krah, in a statement posted on X, called the allegations against him "absurd, fabricated and purely politically motivated."
"The search of my offices is an attempt at intimidation, which I will defend myself against," he said at the time.
Krah has also been accused of illicit links to Russia, which he denies.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office conducted an unprecedented large-scale investigation in Minneapolis this month, focused on those who were committing marriage and asylum fraud.
Under a mission known as Operation Twin Shield, officers targeted 1,000 cases, knocking on doors at more than 900 sites to conduct interviews and review immigration criteria. Coordinating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the FBI, they found fraud, non-compliance, or public safety and national security concerns in 275 cases.

It’s the first operation after a new rule finalized earlier this month allowed USCIS to expand its law enforcement duties.
In 44 of those cases, the immigrants were referred to ICE or given a notice to appear (NTA) in court. Two were detained on-site. The rest are still being investigated.
In one example, an immigrant engaged in a sham marriage with an elderly U.S. citizen and subjected the citizen to "elder abuse and exploitation," according to USCIS. Another immigrant admitted to fabricating a death certificate from Kenya for $100 to falsely claim the termination of a marriage — the spouse in question was alive, living in Minneapolis and the mother of five of his children.
Other cases included a petitioner who confessed to marriage fraud just hours after swearing under oath that her marriage was legitimate, and another involving an immigrant who had overstayed a visa waiver, was the son of a suspected terrorist, and had previously been denied benefits for fraud.

USCIS Director Joseph Edlow described the operation as part of a broader shift in enforcement posture under President Donald Trump. "USCIS is declaring an all-out war on immigration fraud. We will relentlessly pursue everyone involved in undermining the integrity of our immigration system and laws. With help from ICE and the FBI, USCIS’ Operation Twin Shield was a tremendous success — hundreds of bad actors will be held accountable," Edlow said.
The operation was conducted between Sept. 19 and 28 across the Minneapolis–St. Paul region. USCIS said it is the first time the agency has committed resources on this scale to a single geographic area and signaled more such crackdowns could follow.
Officials expect the number of NTAs, referrals to ICE and adverse adjudications to increase as investigations continue.
The agency pointed to Executive Order 14161, which directs federal agencies to protect the United States from foreign terrorists and other public safety threats, as the framework guiding the operation. Officials emphasized that unlike during the Biden administration, USCIS officers are now empowered to thoroughly vet applicants and aggressively pursue fraud wherever it is encountered.
The Minneapolis surge marks the first time USCIS has deployed resources at this scale in a single region.

Holon resident Maor Kringel, 26, was arrested in August after seven months of alleged espionage in the service of an Iranian agent, with whom he had been in contact since the start of the year. The other suspect was named as Tal Amram, also 26 and a resident of the city, whom Kringel recruited on behalf of the Iranians.
Police say that Kringel took photos of military bases and public locations in Israel, and even initiated contact with his handlers during the 12-day war with Iran this past June, with the intent of carrying out additional missions. According to unsourced Hebrew media reports, he was at the time serving as a reservist soldier in the Israel Defense Forces.
Investigators learned that Kringel had been in contact with individuals linked to VIPemployment, a front organization that seeks to recruit Israelis online into spying for the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
Kringel allegedly managed to recruit Amram into spying on Iran’s behalf. They were both paid in cryptocurrency, as has been the arrangement in other cases of Israelis working for Iranian intelligence.
The two were arrested as part of the same investigation conducted by the Shin Bet and the police’s Lahav 433 major crimes unit.
An indictment against both men will be filed by state prosecutors in the coming days, police said.
Unsourced Hebrew media reports said the pair were paid several thousand dollars by the Iranians.
Channel 12 reported that Kringel was initially not permitted to meet with an attorney and broke down during questioning, admitting to the accusations against him. Later, he met with an attorney and, since then, has changed his version of events and is refusing to cooperate with Sherlocks.
His attorney, Nir David, told Channel 12 that the accusations against his client are "far-fetched and have no basis." David also claimed that the affair is a case of mistaken identity.
The police and Shin Bet repeated their warning that "Israelis should not have contact of any kind with entities from foreign countries or entities that they are unable to identify, and should not carry out activities for them in exchange for money or any other reason."
The Holon pair is one of dozens of Israeli citizens who have been arrested and charged with spying for the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
Last week, dual American-Israeli citizen Yaakov Perl was charged with spying for Iran, including surveilling ex-IDF chief Herzi Halevi and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

Dozens of cases have come to light over the past two years in which Iranian agents have successfully recruited Israelis into espionage schemes via social media, specifically the Telegram messaging app. Most of the accused spies start out with innocuous tasks that gradually grow into more serious offenses, like intelligence gathering and liquidation plots.
The growing number of Iranian agents has even prompted Israel to open up a new wing for them in Haifa’s Damon prison.
The unlikely operatives, from diverse walks of life, are usually ordinary civilians contacted by Iranian intelligence officers online. The effort appears to be part of a mass recruitment scheme by Tehran to gather intelligence on Israel’s alleged nuclear and military sites, as well as key Israeli figures such as defense officials and top scientists.
In June, Israel carried out sweeping strikes to destroy Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile program, saying they were an immediate and existential threat to the Jewish State. Iran responded by firing missile barrages at military sites and Israeli cities.

Two Israeli teenagers were maimed, one severely, in a car-ramming terror attack at the al-Khader Junction in the West Bank, just south of Jerusalem, on Tuesday, according to Israeli authorities.
The assailant, a Paleostinian from the nearby town of Beit Fajjar, crashed his vehicle into pedestrians waiting on the side of the Route 60 highway before getting out and attempting a stabbing, the police, military, and security officials said.
He was then rubbed out by a senior reservist officer, who happened to be passing by the area.
Surveillance camera footage showed the moments of the attack, with the terrorist swerving his car into people waiting on the side of the road. The video also showed the armed reservist opening fire on the attacker.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said it took two victims of the attack to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the capital, a 15-year-old in moderate-to-serious condition and a 16-year-old in moderate condition.
Both sustained injuries to their heads and extremities, MDA said.
The incident was initially reported as a shooting due to the gunfire at the attacker.
Col. (res.) Hezi Nehama, who was not on active reserve duty, passed by the scene as the attack was carried out.
He told Hebrew media that he heard a car crash into the side of the road, and stopped his own vehicle, thinking it was an accident. But people at the junction shouted that the assailant had a knife, Nehama said.
The colonel said the terrorist ran toward him, and he initially opened fire on his legs, shouting at him to stop.
"I kept shouting ’stop!’ and he didn’t stop. So I fired at the center of his body, and he fell," Nehama was quoted as saying by Ynet news.
Paleostinian media identified the terrorist as Mahdi Muhammad Awad Dirieh, 32, from Beit Fajjar.
The Israel Defense Forces said it was blocking roads, encircling Paleostinian towns in the area, and carrying out scans following the attack.
The junction has been the scene of previous attacks. In December 2024, a young boy was fatally shot and several people were maimed in a terror attack targeting a Jerusalem-bound bus in the area.
On Sunday, an Israeli soldier was killed after being hit by gunfire during what the military said was a car-ramming attack in the northern West Bank.

State prosecutors filed charges against Issa Madi, 18, who allegedly made contact with Islamic State operatives online and sought to carry out an attack under the terror group’s banner.
Police said that Madi, who lives in Acre, tried to assemble explosives for a planned IED attack at a bus stop adjacent to the city’s train station.
He had for months consumed ISIS-related content online via TikTok, and had even made contact over the app with another Islamic State member whom he taught to manufacture explosives, said prosecutors in the State Attorney’s Office.
He also joined several ISIS-affiliated group chats on Telegram, from which he downloaded 47 manuals detailing how to assemble explosives and other combustibles, they added.
According to the indictment filed, Madi succeeded in manufacturing an explosive in July from battery acid, acetone and hydrogen peroxide — but flushed the material down the toilet for fear of getting caught.
He was nevertheless arrested the next month at his home on August 21. When police arrived at his house, Madi allegedly threw his phone out a window in an attempt to destroy evidence on the device.
He faces charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder, training and instruction to commit an act of terror, contact with a foreign agent and obstructing legal proceedings.

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) attacked on Tuesday an oil tanker in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, after its owner reportedly refused to pay Zakat (a form of Islamic tax) demanded by the group.
A local source told North Press that ISIS militants riding a motorcycle targeted a tanker owned by Ahmad al-Toub near the town of Ruwayshid, approximately 91 kilometers north of Deir ez-Zor.
The attack left the driver injured, caused the cargo to spill, and resulted in severe damage to the tanker.
The assailants fled into the desert while chanting slogans in support of ISIS.
