While I pray it works out, and Iran, the worlds #1 terrorist sponsoring nation, is finally put down.

Looking at numbers alone, I see this move carries a lot of risk,
The biggest being, sending already limited US troops numbers to fight 750K plus suicidal fanatics and their equally fanatic population, on their own turf.

Besides, the US is already stretched way too thin in $$$$, self defense forces and in war material resources.

Add to it.
We now have the Socialists, Communists, radical Islamist's movements all openly joining with and being welcomed into already liberalized US Democrat Party.

All with a goal to RE-take control of the USA.

2 We have maybe a division's worth of US troops in the Middle East and none of them are armored units. That isn't nearly enough for an full scale invasion of Iran. The troops MIGHT be used to temporarily seize a high value target like Kharg Island or Pickaxe Mountain. They might also be used in a humanitarian role after the IRGC is removed from power.
