2 Avebury is a Neolithic henge monument containing three stone circles, around the village of Avebury in Wiltshire, in south-west England. One of the best-known prehistoric sites in Britain, it contains the largest megalithic stone circle in the world. It is both a tourist attraction and a place of religious importance to contemporary pagans.

3 Read the book back in the '70's. Guy made a convincing arquement, hampered by the 'bluestone field', that made the eclipse progression calculation, having been plowed and tilled for maybe 1000 years in the meantime.
You have remember, this was all privately owned farmland since the 1066 survey. At one point, a landowner wanted to knock it all down to clear the area up. Too much work.
