1 ...It took two atomic bombs and a ground invasion against Japanese forces in China to convince the Japanese to give up, and even then there were efforts to thwart a surrender right to the end. Sadly, I think the Iranian whatever-they-call-a-government isn't even close.

Let's say the US - & Allies to manage to kick the current fanatic regime leadership out.

Iran & plus the other funded groups it trained have 3+ Generations that they have brainwashed.That will quickly move in to replace them.

There will always be a constant threat from Fanatical Islam.

Its very religion is build on getting closer to GOD by enslaving, conquering or destroying anything their leadership feels will keep them in power and the masses under control.

The UK has over 1700 a mosques.
The USA has over 3,400 mosques.

there is a lot of anti Islam peculating through the population of Iran

and of those who like Islam, a lot of them hate the Islamic Republic

unfortunately, the distribution of weapons heavily favors the 2-5% who are pro Islamic Republic

not sure how to change that although there are precedents

The military of Ceaușescu basically abandoned him and then the population overwhelmed the Presidential guards easily
