4 That's serious for Europeans, meaning the costs of some goods will go up significantly. Having lived within rock-throwing distance from the Rhine, I've seen it flood and also low-water levels. There's a TREMENDOUS amount of commerce on the river and its subsidiaries. Losing that commerce, which both low water levels and flooding cause, HURTS. With so much stupidity going on in Germany, it's going to hurt even more. Just one more stress factor on the political fabric.
