9 he was "Professor of the Sociology of Education" so a lot of what he said probably sounded like the same kind of BS that all the postmodernists spout

his other achievements in his bio are so extreme that any normal person would laugh, e.g. 30 marathons in 35 days, didn't talk until he was 12, didn't read until he was 18

Simon and Shuster was supposed to put out a biog next week. Heh.

10 The damage to actual minority academicians and scientists is the real shame here. Notwithstanding the idea that you should never generalize, doubts about the legitimate skills of minority-advantaged POC in science, medicine, engineering are all now enhanced. For better or worse, when it really matters, choices are affected by this kind of revelation. Those genuine minority scholars et al are the real victims of this fraud, and the universities reputation for color-blindness in graduate quality are greatly damaged.
