2 ...Anybody with an ounce of brains knew this was coming, but it was more fun to shovel cash at the planes and ships than the ammo. Less than 1000 Patriots? That could well be a few days if the Chinese get froggy, and the THAAD would go even faster.

We are now officially in trouble.

Which ones? We have several including theater caches. Are they including them or just the ones on the mainland that are ready to ship out when needed? (and also the number in theaters is highly classified along with several areas of storage in the US)

Lord knows we need a better manufacturing scale up for munitions but relying on "open source" numbers is not a great way to guess.

For me the answer is simply MORE

6 Quite possibly misleading, indeed! The Military Times is not affiliated with the US military. Their parent company is Sightline Media Group which is owned by a private equity firm, Regent.

The conclusion comes from a think tank analysis using open source data and estimated inventories. Not DoD numbers.

I call shenanigans.
(Which is not to say we shouldn't make more. If you ignore the fighty bits, war is a resource management game. First one to run out of something loses.)
