While we are told the CCP, Islamic's, and etc etc. etc. all have eyes on Africa for various reasons.

But, as much the US Taxpayers are dumping into these countries that have bitten us in the butt repeatedly over the last 30+ years.

What is the overall goal, other than to play King of the Elephant pile claims?

3 I’ve seen speculation that much of what we are doing is to create conditions where China cannot start its long-planned war against us, originally scheduled by them for 2027.

Some of points made were:

Venezuela was a major oil source for them

Iran ditto

free passage through the Malaccan Strait

4 @3 I've seen similar comments and I'll agree that Trump's short term goals in Iran & Venezuela hurt China's medium to long term goals. There was also a post over at Instapundit that the most recent military defense deal/sale to Taiwan will effectively prevent China from invading Taiwan for a good 30-40 years.
