6 The historical parallels for 1940 France don’t work. Maybe the Atlantic could make a case for Franco’s Spain. Seems like we’re missing a lot of dead people except in Dem controlled cities.

8 The Atlantic produces long form reports for the Progressive New York Times audience. I had a subscription for a few years in the late 1990s, until I figured out their formula and their blinders about questions not to be asked.

Good grammar and vocabulary, though — just like the New York Times.
