5 They were an admiral's design toy. Other countries build such ships but don't have procurement admirals insisting on making changes and awaiting the 'next best thing'.

9 Recently took the SDMM's swift boat ride and got a pretty good look at LCSs and related beasts in their natural habitat. Way more depressing than seeing one or two at a time from beach or bridge (as in Barrio).
