9 For centuries, the Royal Navy was really a bunch of pirates. Sir Francis Drake? He got rich and famous plundering Spanish galleons. You could argue that the Spanish deserved it for stealing all that gold from the Incas, Mayans and Aztecs. But the British did not return that gold to its rightful owners. They kept it. Good thing the Spanish and the British were near peers and had a lovely time fighting each other.

Plundering another country's ships is an act of war. Do today's British leaders consider themselves a near peer of the Russians? Not without America to do the bulk of the fighting for them. The question is, should we let Europeans drag us into war with Russia for the sake of their silly sanctions?
