I don't think a successful attack on a US carrier would lead to a ground invasion. At least not right way. It will take some time for the radiation from nuking Tehran to subside. And at that point, why bother!

8 Fair point. B-61s over Tehran, what a beautiful sight that would be. From a B-52 just like in the old days, showing off we aren't even afraid of their puny air defense. Maybe we could get a volunteer to ride the bomb down and take video.
