2 The real question is where was he bit? Did he get bit answering natures call ? I don't know how you could get bit riding a bike Pacific rattlesnakes aren't that big maybe three feet max. Did he do something really stupid like run over the snake and then pick it up dude I nailed this snake. Always remember dead snakes can still be capable of a bite.

3 Shoulda had a bite kit with him. fairly cheap and help to suck out as much venom as possible before pedaling easy to get help.
