While I don't support outright invasion, unless Russia and/or China starts trying to set up shop and posing a threat issue to the USA.

I do support having Greenlanders initially VOTING on if they want to continue Denmark's control or their independence.

If they vote for Independence, then the US needs to provide support. Given the Western Hemisphere Military Defense reasons and Greenland's ability to pay in Natural resources, it's a win-win all around.

8 Thing is, Darth, in the German army things aren't like that anymore.
In the late unpleasantness, eldest son deployed to AFG multiple times. The FOB he was on typically had several NATO attachments, coming and going. When the went out on patrols, the Germans never got out of their APCs. Not even at bivouac. They only saw them inside the wire at camp, and always in a group.

12 Not only was their mission in the Arctic completely formal and meaningless, but the German military always reacts very sensitively when politicians use them for demonstration purposes, to symbolically “mark territory.”
