1 The country saw this as revenge for the Winter War of 1939–40, which had resulted in the loss of some of Finland's territory.

A war started by Stalin which was done as he and Hitler divided Poland, along with annexing the Baltic states. Two wolves arguing about how to cut up the sheep.

The slaughter may not have been the question. The actual timing was likely the question. Other "wolves" may have also been observing the process, a process that lasted a number of years.

5 Getting caught between the likes of Hitler and Stalin is most unfortunate. The Finns were probably just trying to survive the war as best they could. They were luckier than Poland because they were further north and not directly in between the wolves.
