2 A Kauai surfer was attacked by a tiger shark some years ago. Locals hunted and killed the shark within a day or so. Self-defense is not as popular in California.

When you install the batteries, you gotta check to make sure the polarity is correct. Otherwise, the field is backwards and just attracts them.

9 Santa Cruz is not a good place to swim. Too sharky.

You can hunt sharks if you like. I have no sympathy for them. But I would also suggest hunting seals and sea lions. If a shark attacks a swimmer or a surfer, it's most likely because the shark thought it was biting a seal. When he tastes neoprene wet suit instead of seal he usually lets the victim go but the victime often dies anyway because of blood loss.

Thin out the seal and sea lion population and the sharks might have to look for their meals elsewhere. I really don't care where. It's not like seals are endangered. They are so common that I would call them pests. There are far too many of them and their hides would make excellent winter coats.
