6 Since Congressional Republicans were satisfied with Secretary Hegseth’s testimony, it was a/some Democrats who submitted the provision to the bill. If the provision is put to a vote at all, I imagine it will be voted down in committee before the final bill — after the latest draft — makes it to the floor of the House for the final vote.
