Being strongly Progressive, Messrs Ben and Jerry have long preferred the Palestinians, Jairong.

Unilever first slapped them down in 2021 when they announced the Israel licensee would no longer sell their product in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, meaning the West Bank beyond the 1948 border. The licensee, American Quality Products, Ltd., had been producing ice cream according to corporate recipes since 1987, so when they sued Unilever wrote a contract to sell them the Israeli business altogether, much to our villains’ fury — and they then sued Unilever to prevent the sale to the local producer on top of their suit to be able to block AQP from selling ice cream beyond the Green Line.

In 2022 all was resolved back to pre-fuss status, except that B&J sulked because Unilever would not allow them to continue anti-Israel actions when Management demands to be apolitical.
