A 500 MW power plant could power around 10 to 25 small towns, but this varies significantly based on the size and energy needs of each town. For example, a small town might need 20–50 MW, while a larger town could require more power. A 500 MW plant can also supply electricity to about 360,000 homes on average, which can then be used to estimate the number of towns it could support.
