2 As I recall, the Ay-Peee took offense at the selective (fair) use of their reporting, so to avoid them sieving sites to find their nym, it was changed to that

3 IIRC, a few years back there was a a 'copyright troll' that was suing webpages for 'unauthorized use of intellectual property'. AP, among others, were also quick to ~~steal~~ use other people's work without attribution while threatening lawsuits if the reverse happened. The avoidance of mentioning the news service that must not be named is preemptive defense ...as well as sarcasm.
