3 Oktoberfest is very popular with Americans and probably generates some tourism dollars for Munich. We are currently distracted as a people with shutdown blaming and sombreros, and this won’t register with anyone stateside other than at Rantburg.

From a terrorism standpoint only scary Islamic mass slaughter will get the attention of the American people to the extent that travel plans would be altered. ANTIFA stuff seems like background inconvenience to us at its current magnitude. If a bomb were to kill 20 or more people in Europe and ANTIFA claimed responsibility, there would be an immediate response stateside where the group is currently treated as a collection of nerdy slobs seeking social relevance. There would be a general 3AM reveille, rodeo roundup and booking for the pajama clad ANTIFA roster as surely each FBI field office has infiltrated more than just the Knights of Columbus.
