2 The 870 shorty would be a bit much for my wife to handle in case I'm not home. Not enough to hold on to with her smaller hands.

She could easily operate the short 590, however.

Are you hand-loading the Aquilas? Don't think they come wadless from the factory.

I'd like to take credit, but they're from my farrier. He's an old black powder, cowboy shooter. He convinced me that using wads to keep the shot clustered was 'inappropriate' at room clearing distances.
