4 It is not a slum. It is "affordable housing", which will need taxpayer funding now and forever more, amen.

It does not become a slum until later when we will need additional money for "community outreach" and other buzzwords.

5 Newsom is still trying to implement Obama’s Smart Cities Initiative even though the rest of his party is in full electoral retreat trying to patch up relationships with fleeing constituencies. This is the type of political environment where common sense Democrats like Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter emerge while the liberals camouflage themselves for a decade. Gavin is like a dude humming a David Bowie song at a Skynyrd concert.
