ANTIFA themselves, have shown they are a near mirror image of the National Socialist Party and Fascism tactics of the 1930-40's.

Just looking at their style of Dress/Disguise, well documented tactics involving slander, theft, radical activism, doxing, orchestrated harassment, physical violence, property damages. Directed at certain political groups and faiths, bears this point out.

Now the Question of Legal liability.
Given all the direct and indirect help by various MSM's outlets and the Social Media giants. That allowed ANTIFA to coordinate it riots and destructive protests. Will they fac $$$$$$ lawsuits now and/or $$$$$$ fines. IF found guilty?

15 On October 14th 2024 the Lower Saxony Contsitutional Protecttion Agency (Domestic Intelligence) sent a Facebook comment using their official acocunt that said: "Auch wir sind Antifa. Selbstverständlich. (We are also antifa. Of course.)"

The German Wikipedia entry of German Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil states: "In seiner Jugend war er nach eigenen Angaben in der Antifa aktiv, was ihn zur Politik geführt habe. (According to his own statements, he was active in Antifa in his youth, which led him to politics.)"

The term "antifascism" is strongly associated with East Germany and the Soviet bloc in German political discourse.

The Berlin Wall was officially called "Antifaschistischer Schutzwall (antifascist protection wall/fortification.)

An intermediate period during the transition from Western democracy to full fledged Soviet Communism is specifically called "antifaschistisch-demokratisch" ("antifascist-democratic") in official East German records.

Interesting times ahead for US-German relations.

You're right about "Antifaschismus" having a strong East German connotation, but it was actually invented by the KPD (Communist Party of Germany) in the 1920s.

During the Nazi era, a state-supporting, bourgeois-liberal “anti-fascism” developed, which advocated the preservation or restoration of democracy and the rule of law and is now generally associated with the fight against neo-Nazism and right-wing extremism.

In contrast, the left-wing extremist field of action known as “anti-fascism” is mainly characterized by autonomous left-wing extremists. They understand ‘fascism’ as the most reactionary, chauvinistic, and imperialistic form of “capitalism.” According to the left-wing extremist interpretation, “capitalism” means the inseparable unity of the democratic constitutional state and the market economy property system, which alone would serve to manifest conditions of exploitation and oppression.

You can be "antifaschist" without being a radical leftist. This sentiment (in its non-leftist form) is particularily strong in the Jewish community.

Of course they would not associate themselves with the "Antifa" and their flag.

So due to its democratic connotations, the term “anti-fascism” is not exclusively associated with left-wing extremism. Since its introduction, however, it has been appropriated mainly by left-wing extremists who, in the name of the “anti-fascist struggle,” call for criminal acts and violence against individuals or institutions that they define as “fascist” according to their ideology.

18 Orwell observed even in 1944 "It will be seen that, as used, the word ‘Fascism’ is almost entirely meaningless."

Since then "Fascism", outside of a discussion of Italian 20th Century history has become just a synonym for whatever Communists don't like.

When Communists disagree they are even calling each other "Fascists" as well.

"Die Linke," a party that currently is a recognized and respected part of the German political power structure, unlike the AfD, is the KPD that underwent a couple of metamorphic stages.

The terms "Faschismus" and "Antifaschismus" cannot be separated from Soviet communism in Germany because of this continuity.

"Faschismus" designates Western civilization, everything beyond the erstwhile "anti-fascist protection fortification."

"Faschismus" is a term applied to the US, Israel (no matter which party is in power) and the entirety of the West.
