Perfect! Precisely how I feel about oh so many people. It does seem generational. Hell, I was in the 82nd Airborne when we deployed to - supposedly Israel, who didn't want us - and ended up in Turkey just before the October '73 war. What a mess.

Those of us who came of age in 1974 or later faced a very different economy and job prospects

In short, those of us born from 1956 through 1962 tend to lead very different, and less prosperous, lives than the older Boomers. It is only natural that our political beliefs would be different, and they are.

Well enough, certainly, and some of us did, as you point out, Penguin dear, very well indeed. (I certainly cannot complain about my material situation, though with a peak full time income of $25,000/year before retiring from the lists in 1989 to take up the home front, and just sense enough not to spend more than the household budget, it was none of my doing.) But on average our mini-cohort’s career advancement was slower, and our accumulation of assets considerably slower, than the older Boomers. Mr. Wife would have been at least a level higher — with up to 300 reports — had he started with his employer five years earlier, instead finishing as a department head with 40 people. No complaints about his career path, but that’s just the reality.

16 As I tell folks who ask, I was born when Truman was President, King George Vi was the UK ruler, Churchill was Prime Minister (although for a very short time previous) and Stalin was dictator.

I've seen a bit, done a bit and have always supported Israel, as did my parents and grandparents.

17 I remember the Yom Kippur War quite well. I remember the Arab Oil Embargo, the gas lines and Nixon sending C130's full of ammo right up to the front lines so the IDF wouldn't run out. I remember quite well the inflation, recession and unemployment. Then we got jimmuh carter and things got even worse. Arabs liked Russians and Israelis liked Americans and Israelis kicked Arab ass. But jimmuh made the Israelis give the Sinai back to Egypt and paid the Egyptians $2 billion a year not to make war on Israel anymore. Yes. I remember and I'm still here feeling quite robust. I only have to get up two or three times a night to pee but that gives me a chance to make sure the house and yard are secure.

18 When I was born, Stalin still had a firm grip on the Soviet Union but had not yet acquired The Bomb. All that changed soon afterwards and then I learned about radioactive fallout. Such memories. Hell, I remember Khruschev banging his shoe on the podium at the UN and saying they would bury us. But that never happened.

I just looked at some numbers this weekend, I was surprised. I thought dislike hovered at 1/3. But I was wrong, Jewish unfavorability was about 50%. No matter the question, if it could be blamed on the jews, it was. Usually landing around 50%.

The Venn Diagram for NYT Liberal and NYC Jew way overlap too. I'm starting to think there might be more Jew Commies in the world, than any other type of commie. Jew Liberals, if not out right commie, are definitely some of the worst liberals in the planet. And liberals are definitely a Threat To The West and our way of life, especially our Heritage and Culture.

That all said, Gen Z consumes their news from social media and the Web. Social Media and the Web have jew bias, so Gen Z will too. It will be a hard bias to correct.

22 I was 27 years old and stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1973 when the war started. We'd just experienced the terrorist attack at the Munich Olympics, and most of us I was stationed with had no sympathy with the Arabs. Not much has changed, as the history of the Muddled East continues to repeat, over and over, just with different proxies.

23 Born in 1949. I think I have not diminished intellectually. I have become more outspoken.; it used to be deeds, not words ~10 years in the Army, Airborne Infantry NCO, then MIT and Harvard. Physical Chemistry. Wife, kids, all successful. Still working, albeit more slowly. And very happy.

You’re smarter than that, mossomo. More Jewish communists than Red China, North Korea, and the Black rulers of South Africa?? Than in France and the rest of Europe and thr former Soviet Union? There are about 14 million Jews in the entire world out of a world population of 8.3 billion, or 0.17%. Round it to 0.2% for ease of calculation, and it can be seen that even if all of us were communist, which we most certainly are not — even in the New York City metropolitan region there are only 1.5 million Jews altogether, about a quarter of whom are conservative. In Israel the Jewish Communists and the labour socialists together can’t work up enough votes to gain control of the Knesset, even in coalition with the center-left parties — they still lose to Bibi and the right half of Israel’s political spectrum.

Beyond America and Israel, it seems reasonable to assume at least 1% of the world is Communist, which of course is greater than whatever proportion of America’s Jews are communist. But of course a lot of them don’t pontificate in English, so we’d only notice when North Korea or South Africa or Communist China murders a bunch of their own people or threatens Japan or Taiwan.
